We have managed to film everything in one full day of filming up the recording studio and i will explain everything that happpend in the post.
First off we needed the keys in order to get into the recording studio harrison (co filmer) had asked the man who works at the recording studio for the key on facebook and he said ofcourse however he did not replie to the time we put but we decided to go see if he was there ready. we got to the recording studio with all our heavy gear including the camera, tripod and elctric guitar, however the man with the key was not there, so we rang him up and he said he would drive down for us so lucklily we got passed that problem and everything was going smoothly , he arrived and opened the door explained how to lock up and left us with the recording studio all to ourselves which was very exciting. We then went into the studio part and found it extremly messy which was okay because we want a messy gritty look to our filming but this was so messy we couldnt even move so wer spen about half an hour tiding up and making it look like what we wanted.
We then went and had a cuppa soup discussed how the filming would go and what the plan was. we wanted to film the sort of hostage mental patient people first then the psychitrists after.
we got to work we place to camera in different postions and filmed us playing the song many times me siniging and harrison on drums, we also did shots where the camera moved around to get a fast paced energetic feel to it. this filming went very well actually we had filmed us playing the music a massive amount and it was now time to move onto the story part which we wanted to intergrate between us playing music.
we wanted to do some shots in which we would move suddenyl and fast so we filmed then and we wnated to be doign weird crazy things and jump around for theenergy and rawness of the song everything went well until we wanted to do the actual start of the song, this is when the psychitrist turns on the switch and the light comes on and shows us waking up, the problem was that one of the lights would not switch off in the studio whcih meant we couldnt get the effect we wanted we tried for ages to figure it out switching many different switches and the harrison figured it out, it was a senser light so we would have to get out the roomfor about 10 minutes then it would switch itself off.
in this ten minutes we decided we would do the pscyitrist shots so wegot dressed up in our suits and in the room next door did all the psychitrist shots whihc actually i personally think went better than the crazy people shots.
as harrison has said the lights went off and we were then able to film the shot was wanted and that bought us to the end of the filming day after 5 hours in the recording studio it turned out to be a very successful day.
